Organic Chicory Root fibre is rich in inulin an all-natural dietary fibre commonly know as FOS.

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are able to resist digestion in stomach and small intestine and get converted to acetate, propionate, butyrate in colon. Fructooligosaccharides also add up to the fecal matter and gives improved bowel movement. In the digestive tract they promote Bifdobacterium and also have an inhibitory effect on Clostridium perfringes in colon (Belorka et al, 2016).

Great Product

I haven't been able to find plain (unroasted) organic chicory root powder anywhere else in the world (unless you're a business buying bulk). There is one company in the USA called Microinhredients that I bought from, but they're fraudulent -- selling blue agave inulin in their "chicory root" powder bags. Why is this stuff so hard to find? Must be because of the amazing health benefits, and the powers that be don't want us healthy.

Organic Chicory Root Fibre (FOS Inulin)

I am very happy with the Chocory Root FOS Inulin. I put it in my smoothies & I have noticed an improvement in my bowel movements after only a week. I also bought it for my cats who have been having digestive issues. The vet supplements did not help. I took the cats off the supermarket foods & gave them natural chicken & beef . I am also adding natural wild caught fish. The only problem was that they weren't getting the fibre that they needed. So I had to find a way to introduce natural fibre into their diet as well. I lightly cook their chicken & beef & dissolve the fos inulin into the natural juices rhat the meats produce when cooked. Now the cats are experiencing better bowel motions, their eyes are looking brighter, their fur is shinier & they have a lot more energy! I am now looking to add a source of insoluble fibre to their diet. Then their diet should be very healthy for them.
