I not only use it for pickles etc., but for bashing lemongrass, ginger, olives to get the pits out - many things. I always used my rolling pin or an empty jar before, which work fine, but this give me more control. My only issue is that the sticky residue from where the label was stuck on the tamper was really hard to get off. I've cleaned it and cleaned it, but I still feel like there is some residue on there. I know eucalyptus oil or alcohol would work, but I don't want to use that on the wood. I still love the product itself a lot.
