Use your homemade kefir to prepare pure probiotic kefir cheese, with no cheese starters, rennet or additives necessary.  Suitable for the preparation of a variety of other artisanal cheeses. 



Kefirko Cheese Maker- Nourishme Organics 


Straining one batch of kefir made in Kefirko (600 ml - 20 oz) makes approximately 200-300g of soft kefir cream cheese. 

The longer the kefir strains, drier and thicker it becomes:

  • Few hours for a thicker kefir that can be used for dips. 
  •  Overnight for creamy cheese. 
  •  1-2 day to get semi-hard cheese

Flavour your cheese by adding dry or fresh fruit, nuts, herbs or spices of your choice. Choose your ingredients and prepare fresh cheese the way you like it.

Goat milk labne

Hi, I bought this to try and resolve the difficulty I was having straining goat curd as it has a very fine curds. So far rich and creamy yoghurt labne, haven’t tried the kefir yet, but will do. Very fine mesh seems to have done the trick.

Such a useful tool in the kefir kitchen

I love this handy little cheese maker! My kefir grains have grown like crazy and I am getting so much use from them. From sour cream, kefir, cultured butter and cream cheese. My favourite is culturing kefir grains in coconut cream, leaving out for 24hrs then placing the strained coconut cream in the cheese maker for another 24hrs. I end up with a thick, creamy and delicious cheese which is almost like a really thick coconut yoghurt. My husband loves it! After a few days I reactivate the grains in dairy to make them nice and fat again!!
