Collagen, the cement that holds it all together

Collagen is the body’s most important building block and it makes up approximately 30% of the proteins in our bodies. Collagen is a key structural protein that ensures the cohesion, elasticity and regeneration of all our connective tissues including skin, cartilage and bones. In essence, it is the ‘glue’ that holds everything together. It strengthens various body structures and the integrity of our skin.

With age, less collagen is produced naturally by our body, and the first signs of aging start to occur. As from around the age of 30 and accelerating in our 40’s, loss of collagen affects all the connective tissues, such as skin, joints and bones.

Collagen is in our cartilage, bones, skin, hair and nails

Different types of collagen are found in different parts of the body. Collagen is present not only in our bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and skin, but also in all the smooth muscle tissues, blood vessels, and in other organs. Collagen is even a major component of our hair and nails. The majority of our body’s collagen is composed of type 1 collagen.

Different cells in our body tissues are responsible for the production of collagen. The cells use specific amino acids and peptides as building blocks to produce the large collagen helix structure, which is then organized into the strong fibres that provide structural tissue support.

Pure Marine Collagen, a high-purity, natural bioactive product

Marine Collagen is a so-called Type 1 Collagen Peptides. This means they are identical to the collagens found in human bones and skin. Our Marine Collagen is a high-purity, natural bioactive product, containing more than 90% protein (on a dry weight basis).

Collagen peptides are optimized for high bioavailability and activity, and their hydrolyzed form makes them easily digestible by humans. Marine Collagen is a bioactive ingredient that has been specifically developed to deliver multiple health benefits and functional properties. As a natural, non-allergenic and clean label product, it can be easily incorporated into foods and beverages, without impacting taste or odour.

Marine Collagen contains 18 amino acids

Marine Collagen contains 18 amino acids, the building blocks of our tissues and the primary component of proteins. Glycine, proline and hydroxyproline represent around 50% of total amino acid content; the glycine and proline concentration is 10 to 20 times higher than in other proteins. As a result, our Marine Collagen offers Nutri-functional properties that cannot be found in other protein sources.

Developed to improve health

Our Marine Collagen delivers multiple health benefits and displays unique bioactive properties in body tissues.

Marine Collagen

I am so happy with this product, no taste, no smell or grit detected in my coffee of a morning, it completely dissolves. I feel so much better when I adjust one teaspoon each morning, all the aches and pains go away, no joint issues either, I’m super happy. When I first started adding this I didn’t see any changes immediately, it was probably about 3-4weeks in before I noticed that I wasn’t aching and that I was more active.

Thank you for sharing your success story Jenee. Marine collagen is amazing!

100% Pure Hydrolysed Marine Collagen

Placing a order was simple, postage was quick, so far haven't noticed any results but going to stick with it. One thing was though, it had the amount you take(1tsp in 250ml liquid) on the label on the back of the pack but it didn't say how often, I had to look on the website for that.

Thank you Perth, 1 to 2 serves per day is recommended
