Making yoghurt at home is so easy, economical and environmentally friendly. It's an effective way to reduce the amount of single-use plastic going into landfill plus you're in control of what goes in it.

3 x 1g sachets make 6L to 100L of probiotic yoghurt using a suitable dairy source like organic cows or goats milk. Simply keep aside 4 tablespoons of yoghurt to reuse as a starter.

Contains a minimum of 10 billion colony forming units (CFU) of live bacteria per ml of prepared yoghurt

Why is your Probiotic Starter Culture more expensive than other products?

Our Probiotic Yoghurt Starter Culture contains clinically verified probiotic strains that are more expensive to produce. Additionally our Probiotic Yoghurt Starter is 100% pure bacteria and does not contain cheap fillers like Maltodextrin or Dextrose which can make up greater than 90% of like products. Alway check the label when making comparisons.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

IMPORTANT: We only ship our yoghurt cultures on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (as item is stored refrigerated) so that they do not remain in transit via Australia Post over the weekend

Yogurt culture, excellent!

It made the best yogurt forever!
I used raw organic milk and followed the instruction. However, I did not boil the milk that much and once reached to 83 degrees I turned the flame off. The result was excellent, everyone loved the taste, the thick creamy texture and the feeling after eating it.

Consistent/Reliable

I hated yoghurt. For health reasons I was forced to reconsider and plan for yoghurt in my daily diet. So having tried various store bought yoghurts - Nah!- I sought alternatives and read extensively. It seemed so simple yet friends and relatives produced remarkably different results. As the milk was the same the answer had to be temperature control and time and the culture used. One of the many cultures initially used was NourishMe Pure Probiotic Yoghurt Starter Culture and I was surprised at the consistency of results. This is very important as a base on which to enable variations in texture and taste.
The cost per gram seems outrageous - it isn’t.
Use the full 1 gram packet for the first production.
Subsequent productions use a heaped tablespoon of the previous yoghurt and a ¼ gram of starter - too tiny to weigh just guesstimate.
Final costing: $27.95/12 = $2.33
2 L full cream milk. = $4.50
$6.83 for 2 L of superb product.
Tip 1: Add 1 cup Farmdale Milk Powder to get a Greek Yoghurt consistency.
Tip 2: Instructions supplied by Nourishme are perfect.
Tip 3: Buy a Luvele Yoghurt Maker and a spare jar.
