Gladalan White produces medium to large sized white bulbs. Can be grown as an autumn or spring crop in the more temperate parts of the country. Sweet and mild, they are great cooked or roasted, or even better raw in salads and sandwiches.

Soil The soil should be free draining and not contain excessive nitrogen which will result in excessive foliage growth at the expense of the bulb. The main requirement for onions is potassium, so apply wood ash or potash prior to planting.

Position Full sun, in a spot that follows leafy green crops such as lettuce or cabbage.
How to Plant Sow the seeds directly into the veggie patch in early autumn if conditions are not too warm, otherwise propagate in a mini greenhouse and then transplant once conditions become more mild
