Organic Chicory Root fibre is rich in inulin an all-natural dietary fibre commonly know as FOS.

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are able to resist digestion in stomach and small intestine and get converted to acetate, propionate, butyrate in colon. Fructooligosaccharides also add up to the fecal matter and gives improved bowel movement. In the digestive tract they promote Bifdobacterium and also have an inhibitory effect on Clostridium perfringes in colon (Belorka et al, 2016)*.

So far I have only used it in a batch of L. Reuteri but it seems to have done its job well. I ended up with a delicious batch of cultured dairy.
