If you are looking for a new water kefir recipe to spice up the variety, this is it! This recipe combines the greatness of water kefir with turmeric or ginger (or even both!) and fresh orange juice. It is fizzy and delightful! This recipe came to us from Steve in the Gut Health Guru’s Facebook Group!
- 1.5L of water (to make the water kefir, we recommend this kit!)
- 4.5 tbsp of Kefir grains
- 5 tbsp of Raw Sugar
- A pinch of Bicarb Soda
- 1 tsp molasses
- 1 slice of citrus
- 30ml Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 - 2 tbsp grated ginger or turmeric (or both for more beneficial antioxidants!)
- Combine 1.5L of water, 4.5 tbsp of kefir grains, 4.5 tbsp of raw sugar, bicarb soda, 1 tsp molasses, slice of citrus, and ferment until there is no sugary taste. Taste frequently!
